Part-time Veterinary Assistant Job Description

Responsibilities for a part-time veterinary assistant position include animal care, animal restraint, general cleaning duties, assisting doctors in exam rooms, drawing up vaccines, and processing in-house blood work.  Must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule.  Hours may include days and evenings, weekdays and Saturdays and Sundays.

The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service.  Our clinic practices cutting edge medicine, such as stem cell therapy, acupuncture, veterinary orthopedic manipulation and cold laser therapy.  Candidate must be open to learning and practicing new therapies.

Candidate must work well with a team, be proficient in reading, writing, math, phone skills, and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, knowledge of Avimark helpful).
